Morocco’s Horsewomen of Fantasia
For BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Sahar Zand travels to Morocco to meet the women breaking into Tbourida, the centuries-old equestrian tradition also known as Fantasia. Long dominated by men, the sport sees teams of riders charge at speed before firing their rifles in a single synchronised volley. Zand follows an all-female troupe challenging tradition, and winning.
